Thank you for visiting to my 2020 Ride for Heart page!
The 2020 Ride for Heart is virtual! Sadly. This year thousands of cyclists, some just like me, will NOT be able to take over the Gardiner Expressway and the DVP, and end the traffic jam, clear the smog and have a great time.
The 2020 Ride for Heart will happen for me and my kids as we will ride in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation! We'll ride a nice and safe 26km loop that will depart and end at my home. I will bring drinks and snack and we'll stop along the route to enjoy (for the kids this could be the best part).
The 2020 Ride for Heart will be my 11th year riding as aTeam Captain for CIBC.
Since 2010, I have cycled in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation due to my family's experiences with strokes. For the first 8 years I rode for my dad who suffered multiple strokes. Once again this year I ride in memory of my dad who passed away after years of battling strokes. I have twice the reason to ride! 2020 will be the fourth year I ride in support of my mother who suffered a stroke and a subsequent heart attack and has recovered really well. My mother and my family are lucky (and relieved) that she survived her stroke and heart attack with no long term effects. I am certain that this is due in some part, large or small, to the research funded by your donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Thank you very much!
If you are in a position to support the cause then I would very much appreciate you clicking on the donate button on my ride for heart page.
