We are living in strange times, but still, heart disease and stroke have not taken time off!
During the month of May, Manulife is tripling donations, and... I personally will double donations this year, when times are so very challenging up to $1500. SO: Thank you for visiting my page. As you may know, my father suffered from strokes, and died of vascular dementia 12 years ago. Phillis lost her late husband Aryeh to a heart attack 15 years ago. And, both of my mothers-in-law (yes, I am STILL blessed with TWO) suffer from heart disease; Freda had a heart attack years ago, and Marge suffers from congestive heart failure. Both strokes and heart disease are preventable and/or treatable!
Every 7 minutes someone dies from heart disease and stroke in Canada. That's why I am fundraising by riding socially distant but together with Phillis. While there are many worthwhile causes to support especially this year, you know many people with heart disease or stroke just like I do, and research and education will make a difference to our collective future. So I ask that you please consider supporting my ride.
Your support helps me to help the Heart and Stroke Foundation to achieve its goal of reducing Canadians’ rate of death from heart disease and stroke by 25%.
Your donation will directly improve the lives of Canadians through preventing disease, saving lives and promoting recovery.
Thank you so much,
