Spring will soon be in the air (hopefully:P), and I'll be out in full force preparing for the annual Manulife Heart&Stroke Ride for Heart being hosted Sunday, June 7, 2020. I’m once again riding in support of family and friends who have been affected by this disease. I’ve be able to witness first-hand the success of treatments funded by these events, most notably Therapeutic hypothermia which saved my wife’s Uncle’s life.
Did you know that every 7 minutes someone dies from heart disease and stroke in Canada? Did you also know that the Heart and Stroke foundation has set a goal to reduce the Canadian rate of death from this by 25% by 2020? With our help the Heart and Stroke Foundation can continue making life better for Canadians touched by heart disease and stroke through research achievements and medical advancements. Together, through research, we are saving lives. To learn more about how the Foundation is making a difference visit www.rideforheart.ca, Your Dollars At Work.
