I need your help. I'm participating in the Manulife Heart & Stroke Virtual Ride for Heart in June, and I’m raising money to help people in Canada enjoy more moments with the people they love. Now more than ever, your support is critical to help Heart & Stroke continue the incredible work that they do especially since people living with heart disease and stroke are facing new risks due to COVID-19.
What is a Virtual Ride for Heart? Well, although the DVP and Gardiner won't be closed off there are still plenty of bicycle trails in the city that I can use while maintaining social distancing. By cycling along the Don River and Martin Goodman trails I can parallel most of the traditional Ride for Heart route. I can also choose a time in June to minimize other bicycle traffic to aid in social distancing.
With our support, Heart & Stroke can continue to fund critical heart disease and stroke research, and collaborate with researchers, clinicians and our partner organizations to understand and address COVID-19 and its relationship to heart disease and stroke.
Donations also help to provide the current and credible information from medical experts so that people living with heart disease and stroke can stay healthy, safe and get the peer support they need.
Your tax-deductible donation will directly improve the lives of Canadians through preventing disease, saving lives and promoting recovery.
