This is the 6th year I have been able to participate in the ride but the first time doing it "virutally" on the bike trails around the hood. So I don't get to peddle along the along the Gardiner and the DVP but get to have a fun morning out with the family at our leisure. The bonus is that the "Rain for Hear" will be no longer this year as if it rains on the 7th we can pick another day.
As most of you know cycling has become one of my favourite things to do (other than snowboarding and fishing and golfing) and have put a lot of miles in the saddle over the last several years and still ride to work about once a week when the weather permits. I am riding to affect change and moreover riding for family, friends and loved ones that cannot.
I have appreciated your support in my previous fund raising efforts for the Ride for Heart and Canadian Mental Health on my mountain bike and now I am appealing to you to support me again this year. For those that have supported me before thank you so much.
Every 7 minutes someone dies from heart disease and stroke in Canada. That's why I am fund raising for the Becel Heart&Stroke Ride for Heart on Sunday, 4 June 2018.
Your support will help the Heart and Stroke Foundation to achieve its 2020 goal of reducing Canadians’ rate of death from heart disease and stroke by 25%. Your donation will directly improve the lives of Canadians through preventing disease, saving lives and promoting recovery.
Thank You in advance for your support.
