In a normal world, this is the time of the year that I would be coming to you asking for donations for my annual Ride for Heart and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Well as you know it is a different world in which we are living right now!
Rather than having a massive cycling event on Sunday June 7th, 2020 the Ride for Heart is going VIRTUAL this year. The need for funds for research for Heart and Stroke is just as pressing now as it has been in the past! Instead of cycling 50 km along the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway on Sunday June 7th I will be cycling 50 km around my neighbourhood in support of this very worthwhile cause - the Ride for Heart!
As in the past I will be riding in support of my mom - Lorraine Carey - who celebrated her 93rd birthday this year in a Retirement Living Centre - as well as in memory of family members who have died from stroke and heart disease - Nancy McCabe, Marg Edwards and Frank Kohli.
Financially this is a difficult time for some people, but whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for supporting such a worthwhile cause!
