Dear Facebook Family and Friends near and far,
As many of you know my family has directly benefitted from the life-saving research and first aid training that the heart and stroke foundation contributes to our country. In 2016 we lost our beloved grandmother to a stroke and two months later my mom suffered cardiac arrest while we were at one of our favourite restaurants. I was brand new at heart and stroke and had not yet completed my CPR training. Thank God our server, Shane, was trained in CPR as it saved my mom's life. In addition to resuscitation heart and stroke offers essential programs ranging from youth education in rural and northern communities, stroke awareness, and one of my biggest passions… Women's heart and brain health. I am raising money for all of my friends and loved ones…
Rose Oughton, Mabel McPhedran, Nellie Stolhandke, Howdy OughtonRobyn S, Dianna R, Patti L, Connie W, Jackie R, Pam S's Dad, Uncle George Pashnyk... MY MOM...the list goes on and on...
Will you help me reach (BEAT!) my goal of $1000?
every dollar counts and I appreciate all of you.
Wait… There's more…
People living with heart disease and stroke are at an increased risk of becoming very ill and dying if they contract COVID-19, and emerging data confirms the virus can damage an otherwise healthy heart and impact the brain. Funding for research is more critical than ever. That is why I am participating in the first-ever Manulife Heart & Stroke Virtual Ride for Heart.
You can help those at greater risk due to COVID-19 and your donation will help fund life-saving research breakthroughs.
Help me fund this important research and meet my fundraising goal.
*also, feel free to register and get your family involved to help us raise life-saving funds!
